Welcome to Everyday Renaissance.  I'm Karen.  I'm glad you found your way here to my corner of the Internet where a renaissance of art, beauty, freedom, and expression is an everyday experience.

I haven't always been an artist. In fact,  in previous chapters of my life, I had a successful career in the medical field. Those experiences gave me a unique understanding of how short life really is, and I decided it was time to fulfill some lifelong dreams.

I've now moved on to the next chapter of life. Rekindling a love for artistry and creativity, that when put together, results in handcrafted pieces designed to put a smile on your face and warmth in your soul. 

​

Inspired by nature, I believe that each creature, flower, seashell, and sunrise has a story to tell. Each part of life can be seen through a lens of optimism and hope.  We can experience gratitude in all things, and I live to commemorate that gratitude through my art.

Early in this journey, I began as a painter.  Then I morphed into a woodworker, which evolved into creating resin art. In perfecting my craft, I scaled down from large pour projects to much smaller jewelry-sized resin art. Through this evolution, I've become a jack of all trades and can tailor my projects to a customer's requests. Now, I work with copper to create intricate wire designs, gemstone jewelry, flame painted copper, and wood working.
