Meet the Muse
Megan Potter is a Life Coach, Mother, Homeschooler, Seeker, Finder, Wife, Consultant, Friend, Home Maker, Spiritual Director, a Sounding Board, Writer, Mentor, Talker, Potato Chip Eater, Workshop Leader, Artist and Painter, and above all a Woman (which really is a catch all word for so many other roles and jobs isn’t it?); she’s otherwise known as the Muse and is the real Renaissance Girl behind Everyday Renaissance.
Megan trained as a Life Coach in 2004 and has spent the interim years coaching clients while also trying to figure out what she was really passionate about and really wanted to dedicate her life to.
It was actually her clients, combined with her own personal life’s journey, that gave her the answer. She found herself working, almost exclusively, with women and the more women she coached the more she came across patterns that we all seem to have in common. Women, it seems, have a really hard time committing to take care of themselves and believing in their own possibilities.
The more Megan worked with women who were hungry to live creative lives and to really experience life abundantly, the more excited she got about Inspiring, Motivating, and Encouraging women to reach for their passions and dreams. Her profound belief that women could live full and happy lives; could be mothers and pursue their passions; could have happy and rich marriages while they invested in themselves too – despite what our lives may look like right now – lit a fire in her.
She started to experiment with blogging (www.flamingrenaissance.com) and purposely coaching women who were looking for the same kind of journey she was passionate about. The more work she did, the more she became convinced she had a place to fill in this world, and so Everyday Renaissance was born.
Of course, Megan is more than a Coach and Muse, she’s also a mother (of one teenage son, who is otherwise known as “The Kung-Fu Master” on her blog) and a wife – for over ten years now (to Jeff, otherwise known as Wakizashi). She’s been homeschooling her son for seven years now (with a one year stint in “real” school during grade five).
She has experience as a preacher (yes, for a church), workshop leader and speaker, and a freelance writer (among other things). She’s also currently studying to be certified as an Aromatherapist and as a Spiritual Counselor.
Megan’s real passion is helping women. She’s passionately excited about empowering women to explore and experience Wellbeing in every area of their lives (Spirit, Soul, & Body; Heart, Mind, & Emotions; even in Personal, Work, & Family Lives). Whole Woman Wellbeing is the heart of Megan’s vision for her own life and for the women she serves. She believes that when we finally let ourselves live lives of health and wealth that’s when we’ll finally experience life without limits!
